Up & Under

by The Cream People

about

Up & Under recalls the gory, glory days of old fashioned, English Rugby League, immortalised by the expressionist jazz voice of Eddie Waring. 2 teams of 13 players, beer guts a plenty, up to their necks in northern mud, waged cross Pennine war every Saturday throughout our darkest winter days. This was the BBC's regular live sport offering, pitting themselves against ITV's grapple and grind wrestlers in the never ending ratings war. It was Wigan v Bradford Northern on one channel, Johnny Kwango v Jackie 'Mr TV' Pallo on the other. Aah, those were the days - weren't they Mary?

Imagine this track wafting towards you on a whiff of Bovril as the sixth tackle looms. Ee bah gum.

lyrics

The Cream People create instrumental, psychedelically trippy, jazz-tinged grooves for individual and group mind expansion sessions. Interpretive dance or general sloth is highly recommended.

about

The Cream People Kidderminster, UK

The Cream People have fun by making as much spontaneous, psychedelic, improvised, instrumental music as possible, before we spontaneously combust

All tracks are composed on the spot & evolve during performance.

If you enjoy our music, why not consider buying a track or 2? We know it's unfashionable, but music will die without public support.

Thanks!
